About the project
"Someday I'm Goto"
On July 23, 1982, the Nagasaki flood that struck Nagasaki City and other parts of the prefecture.
The Higashi-Nagasaki area is no exception, and was severely damaged by the flooding and landslides of the Hachiro and Himi rivers.
39 years have passed since then, and the memories of those days have faded with the passage of time, and the number of generations who do not know "that time" is increasing. In recent years, natural disasters that exceed expectations have occurred, and disasters that cause great damage nationwide have continued, and it is not a matter of others for us, and it is safe to fall upon ourselves at any time.
Through this project, children who will be responsible for the future of the region will be made aware that disasters will occur in their immediate surroundings, and when a disaster occurs, they will learn what to do to "protect their own lives" and learn about the actions of the town in which they live. I would like to take the first step to become a future leader by giving an opportunity to think about disaster prevention and mitigation.
The project consists of two parts: "disaster prevention class" and "lantern sink".
